An unusual native tree for bonsai cultivation, this tree has been field grown for over 15 years to achieve a good heavy trunk and substantial surface roots. It was lifted last year and branches were trimmed and styled in 2009 by Corin Tomlinson. Potted at that time into suitable Chinese bonsai pot. Very vigorous tree easily pruned several times a year to further develop ramification and twigs.
