The Fukien Tea tree is native to parts of Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Australia, but its name comes from its place of origin, Fukien or Fujian, China. In China, Fukien Tea bonsai trees are very popular for Penjing and in western countries, it’s often an indoor Bonsai tree.
The Fukien Tea is a beautiful indoor Bonsai that thrives in bright, natural light and warm temperatures around 20°C. Place it near a sunny window, away from cold draughts and frosty air.
Water generously when the soil surface begins to dry, ensuring the tree is never left sitting in excess water.
